Hi, I'm Abby

I was born and raised in the Midwest...well, I was born in Louisville, Kentucky (My pronunciation of Louisville proves it), but my folks lived just over the Ohio river in Indiana. We moved to Michigan when I was 10, where I lived until graduated from Central Michigan University and moved out to Illinois with my then boyfriend, now husband.

We spend nearly two decades as Illinoisans, welcoming our beautiful, quirky ginger son there. I built my career in higher ed marketing, meeting some of the finest women and men I'm proud to call friends. We built a wonderful community of fun-loving, volleyball-playing friends, even adopting a few of them as our chosen family who will always be special to us.

 

Gratefully, though, we've landed back in the mitten state and I've landed back at my alma mater as lead of the marketing team. I love this work. I'm one of the weirdos who enjoys management, and I take the opportunity and responsibility very seriously.

My husband and I have celebrated 20 years of marriage. Our son has entered his teen years. And life moves on...
